Common questions
What does Outfit Check actually tell me?
One of three verdicts and up to two reasons. GO means the colours and the items work — wear it. ALMOST means one piece is close to clashing and a small swap fixes it. RETHINK means something is genuinely off, with the reason stated in plain language. No paragraphs, no styling lecture.
How long does a check take?
A few seconds. You open the app straight into the camera, photograph yourself in a mirror, tap the shutter and the verdict appears. There is no feed to scroll, no profile to build and nothing to read past one sentence.
Does it judge my body or how clothes fit me?
No, and that is deliberate. Outfit Check looks at two things only: whether the colours work together and whether the garments belong to the same world. It does not comment on body shape, size, appearance or how a garment sits on you.
What happens to my photos?
Your photo is sent to be analysed and is not kept afterwards. It is never used to train models and never sold. Your verdict history is stored on your own device, and you can clear it whenever you like.
Do credits expire?
Never. A pack of checks stays in your balance until you use it, including through a subscription you started and cancelled afterwards. Credits are added to whatever you already have rather than replacing it.
Can I use it in a shop?
That is the second thing it was built for. Fitting-room mirrors are exactly the moment when there is nobody to ask and a purchase is about to happen. Photograph the mirror, get the verdict, decide.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open the About screen and tap Restore Purchases. Subscriptions restore from your Apple or Google account. Credit packs are tied to the anonymous account on the device they were bought on, so if you have moved phones and a balance is missing, email us and we will sort it out.
The verdict looks wrong. What now?
Retake the photo first — bad light, a partial body or a busy background are the usual causes, and the app will say so when it cannot see the outfit. If the verdict still looks wrong on a clear full-body photo, email us with what you were wearing and what it said.
How do I delete my data?
Open the About screen and tap Delete Account. That removes your anonymous account, your credits, your purchase history and any verdicts held on our servers. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in your device's subscription settings first.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone on iOS 13 or later, and Android phones on Android 8 or later. It needs a camera and a connection, because the verdict is produced on the server rather than on the device.
Can I check a photo I already took?
Yes. There is a library button next to the shutter, so you can run a check on any full-body photo already on your phone rather than standing in front of a mirror.
