Terms of use

These terms apply to Outfit Check, published by Baan Software PTE. LTD.. By using the app you agree to them. The App Store's standard end user licence agreement also applies to the iOS app.
What the app is
Outfit Check takes a photograph of an outfit and returns an opinion about whether the colours and the garments work together. It is an opinion, produced automatically, and it is offered as a second opinion rather than as advice you are obliged to follow. You remain responsible for what you wear and what you buy.
What the verdict is not
The verdict is limited to colour matching and item consistency. It does not evaluate, rate or comment on body shape, size, appearance or the person in the photograph, and it is not professional styling advice.
Your account
The app creates an anonymous identity for you automatically. There is no name, email or password. That identity is tied to the installation, so deleting the app or moving to a new device may leave a credit balance behind — contact us if that happens and we will help.
Credits and subscriptions
- New installations receive 3 free checks. This is a one-time grant per account.
- Packs of checks are one-off purchases. Credits do not expire and are added to any balance you already have.
- Unlimited is an auto-renewing subscription, billed through Apple or Google. It renews until you cancel it in your device's subscription settings.
- Cancelling a subscription does not remove credits you had bought separately; they remain in your balance.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, since they take the payment.
Acceptable use
Do not upload photographs of other people without their agreement, do not upload unlawful content, and do not attempt to interfere with, overload or reverse engineer the service. We may suspend access where the service is being abused.
Availability
The verdict is produced on our servers, so the app needs an internet connection. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. If a check fails, the credit for it is returned to your balance.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Baan Software PTE. LTD. is not liable for any loss arising from a purchasing or dressing decision you make after reading a verdict.
Changes
If we update these terms we will change the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
